Since 1969, Meki's Tamure Polynesian Dance Group has been entertaining audiences in Maryland and the surrounding states with all live songs and dances from the exotic South Sea islands. If you can't go to the islands, the Tamure dancers and musicians will bring them to you!
Meki's Tamure performs an exciting show featuring traditional and contemporary South Pacific songs and dances not only from Hawaii, but from other "paradise" islands of the Polynesian triangle such as Tonga, Tahiti, New Zealand, Fiji and the Samoas.
Our performance comes complete with live precision drumming and colorful native costumes. The highlight of our show features the world famous Samoan Flaming Fire Knife Dance.
